Bravo's "Top Chef" cooked up one of the biggest Emmys' upsets last night, beating out the heavily favored "The Amazing Race" in the reality-competition category.
This was no simple feat for the food-based reality TV show, "The Amazing Race" has dominated the category since it was put in place eight years ago.

The Cooking Channel releases fall premiere schedule
This fall Food Network stars Bobby Flay and Rachel Ray will join the ranks of The Cooking Channel-- the sister network of the pioneering all food channel-- to host brand-new original shows.
As part of a full plate of series premieres on the new channel, Rachael Ray will host Rachael Ray's Week in a Day. The show is her first solely food-focused show in nine years and is dedicated to helping busy families in the kitchen. Chef Bobby Flay's new show is based on a single meal, brunch. Titled, Brunch @ Bobby's, Network officials say the show celebrates the chef's favorite meal of the week.
The Next Iron Chef season 3 preview
This upcoming season of The Next Iron Chef on Food Network will feature a familiar face, Chef Ming Tsai, owner of Blue Ginger in Wellesley, Ma.
Viewers may recognize Chef Tsai from his Emmy nominated PBS cooking show, Simply Ming, now in its eighth season.
Ming and nine other contestants will face off against each other starting Sunday October 3rd. Filmed in three locations-- Los Angeles, Las Vegas and New York City-- the chef contestants will have to complete a variety of challenges, including cooking on a desert island, catching their secret ingredients in the wild, dreaming up a five-Star luxury menu and turning ordinary fair food into an Iron Chef worthy meal.
Chik-fil-A creates world's largest sweet tea
Tulsa-area Chick-fil-A restaurants set a Guinness World Record Wednesday for creating the world's largest iced sweet tea.
Organizers created a nine-foot tall cup that held more than 1,140 gallons of freshly brewed sweet tea and ice. The process required 72 pounds of tea leaves, 1,150 pounds of sugar, one ton of ice and 912 gallons of water.
Domino's Pizza names "world's fastest" pizza maker
In front of 6,000 cheering spectators, Domino’s Pizza named Pali Grewal the 2010 "World’s Fastest Pizza Maker."
Grewal, who is from the United Kingdom, made three large pizzas in just 39.1 seconds. Domino’s President and CEO, J. Patrick Doyle awarded Grewal with $3,000 in prize money and a trophy.
Star Wars Cereal
Lucasfilm Ltd. has just announced the latest giveaways for its annual Star Wars Celebration, a weekend-long convention dedicated to, "A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away."
Organizers will be handing out 16 mini parody boxes of cereal named after popular characters from the long running sci-fi fantasy films including Greed-O's, Hothted Flakes and Imperiel Troop Loops.
"We are thrilled to announce the exclusive giveaways," says Lucasfilm artist Gus Lopez. "In addition to listening to fascinating talks and panels by some of the leading experts on Star Wars collecting, attendees will receive collectible cereal boxes based on Star Wars character 'cereal brands' highlighting each of the sixteen panel topics."

Chef Tyler Florence throws first pitch
Los Angeles -- Chef Tyler Florence was a special guest last Friday at Dodger Stadium, the chef was invited to throw the first pitch at the Dodger's game against the Angels.
Chef Florence was the guest of honor for "Grapes from California Day" at the stadium. The event is part of an initiative by the California Table Grape Commission to raise awareness about California grapes. Similar events will be held at ballparks across North America including: Los Angeles Dodgers' Dodger Stadium, Baltimore Orioles' Camden Yards, San Francisco Giants' AT&T Park, St. Louis Cardinals' Busch Stadium and Toronto Blue Jays' Rogers Centre.
